Power play: Teen athletes cry foul

KHSAA transfer policy's strictness questioned

Kyle Hicks is not a high school sports star, but football has been his passion since the seventh grade. Last fall, the Kentucky High School Athletic Association ruled that Hicks was ineligible to play football or any other sport in his junior year after he moved from his mother's home in Danville to his father's in Harrodsburg. Such arrangements are not an exemption to the transfer rule.
